Yoga and Pilates fans are invited to a retreat May 9 to 16 hosted at the casually elegant Maya Tulum resort, located just minutes from the amazing Tulum ruins and about an hour south of Playa del Carmen. Instructor Pamela Hart has visited Tulum nine times in the last years and is joined by instructors Lauren Ferioli and Gina Guarascio for this retreat.Yoga classes are held at the Maya Tulum resort, inside a beautiful circular Movement Room located on the beach and after each class, students can head to the ocean for a ritual cleanse. The resort recently added a Temazcal Mayan sweat lodge, offering an opportunity for a spiritual experience of another kind.
Lauren Ferioli is a Polestar Pilates Certified Instructor, with a background in Classical Pilate's. A former Doula, Lauren has been working with the body/mind connection for more than 10 years. She is a long-time traveler to Mexico and has a deep affinity and love for the climate and culture of Tulum in particular. With a focus on breath awareness, core strength and alignment, daily mat Pilates classes will offer students the ability to refine and deepen not only their Pilates practice, but the connection and collaboration of yoga and Pilates as a means to go further in body, mind and spirit.
