Hotel Profile: Occidental Royal Hideaway

Reserve Your Room with Mayan Holiday
Luxury and all-inclusive don’t always go together. At this adults-only, 13-acre, 200-room resort, though, the two go together like piña coladas and sunset—which, by the way, are included in the all-inclusive room rate. The lavish property is located on the beach along Paseo Xaman-Ha in Playacar, just south of Playa del Carmen. It has meandering rivers, waterfalls, tropical gardens, and six pools (three reserved for quiet relaxation). There are several restaurants and bars, and men are required to wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and collared shirts for dinner.

There is a large fitness center, two tennis courts, water-sports center, and theater with live nightly shows. The rooms are housed in two- and three-story villas, with a mix of Spanish and colonial Mexican architecture. They have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, CD/DVD players, and marble bathrooms with jetted tubs. Internet access is complimentary in the business center.

A wide range of spa services (algae body wraps, massages, body scrubs) are available for an extra fee.
