Blame it on the Rain
THE IKAL DEL MAR VILLA RESORT and Spa in the Riviera Maya has come up with an unusual way for guests to take advantage of rainy days. The property, which just reopened following renovations after Hurricane Wilma, created a Rain Massage spa treatment that takes place outdoors in the jungle surrounding the resort using rain water infused with scented herbs. The 50-minute massage costs $110 and is best performed during the rainy season from July through October. For resort and spa information or reservations, visit the Mayan Holiday Reservations Center.
