This small complex is on a quiet side street just off an upscale part of downtown Playa del Carmen, at 16th Street between First Avenue and Quinta. The grounds have tropical gardens, a swimming pool, and a rooftop terrace with grill for guest use. The seven one-bedroom villas, in a modern hacienda-style setting, have a decidedly Asian/Zen influence, and include a private bedroom with queen bed, romantic bedding, candles, ceiling fans, and a large tiled shower.
Each unit also has air-conditioning, a full kitchen with appliances and supplies, cable TV, a dining room, and a living room with sofa bed and stuffed chair, as well as a terrace or balcony with table and chairs and a hammock. Rates are running around $150/night and include complimentary wireless Internet access. The New York owner also has several private apartments around town and near the beach available for weekly/monthly rental. Highly Recommended.
